Art In The Alley
Welcome to ART in the Alley! Located on the beautiful North Shore of Lake Superior, in Superior Wisconsin, ART in the Alley is the working studios and gallery of Dan Edmunds and Tami LaPole Edmunds. The husband and wife art team work from their studios, and put fresh art out daily in their adjacent gallery. Stop by anytime and watch the artists at work. Dan creates wonderful functional pottery, including plates, bowls, cups, mugs, platters, serving pieces, vases, and more. In addition to the functional pottery, Dan has built and designed his own treadle wheel and kilns…which are something to see. Tami creates amazing jewelry, wonderful paintings, mosaic pieces, beaded serving ware…and more! She loves to teach classes at the gallery to share her knowledge and creativity with others.
ART in the Alley gets its name from the location of the gallery, and kilns, which are located in the alley of the historical “Trade and Commerce Building”. This beautiful building was once the center of commerce in the Duluth/Superior area. At the turn of the century this building housed government agencies. ART in the Alley is actually located in the old Chief of Polices office! It is a unique setting for the artist’s studios and gallery. There is nothing else like it in the Twin Ports area.
